“Boyishly handsome, Smith’s got the perfect voice and androgynous vibe to make him a memorable Emcee. When he appears bare chested in a tuxedo jacket, his muscular legs protruding from shorts, Smith suggests a cross between Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie.” The Boston Globe

I have been having a fantastic time portraying the Emcee in Hunter Foster's acclaimed new production of "Cabaret" at the Cape Playhouse, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting with Jared Bowen of WGBH's "Open Studio," for a TV interview detailing the musical, its source material, and cabaret as a varied and malleable genre of performance. The production is enjoying rave reviews, with praise for Hunter's inventiveness, Lisa Shriver's choreography, and the wondrous costumes, set and lighting.
