Australian cabaret performer Kim David Smith salutes summer, NYC Pride and perennial pop goddess, Kylie Minogue with an intimately fabulous cabaret-fantasia, celebrating Kylie’s catalogue of gargantuan hits and glittering deep cuts, from 1987’s "Locomotion,” all the way through to 2018’s “Golden.” Labeled the “male Marlene Dietrich” by the New York Times, Smith deconstructs three decades of Minogue dance anthems with music direction by the multi-MAC Award winning Tracy Stark, and with costumes by Miodrag Guberinic (Katy Perry, Madonna, Nicki Minaj).

Kim David Smith returns to Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre for "The Meeting Celebrates Eartha Kitt!" Hosted by the inimitable Justin Sayre, Chairman of the Board of the fictional International Order of Sodomites, The Meeting is described as “rambunctious, uproarious and unpredictable” by The Wall Street Journal, “delicious and delightfully droll” by The New York Post, and “hilarious and sardonic” by The Village Voice, and is known for a signature blend of outrageous comedy, politics, culture and sensational musical performances.

Each month, the I.O.S gathers to honor an artist or a cultural work that is iconic to the gay community. Justin Sayre – the show’s creator, writer and host – serves as the Chairman of the Board of the International Order of Sodomites and brings his singular wit to essential business of the day through such regular features such as ”Letters to the Chairman” and “New Rulings from the Board.” The Meeting was named among the Top nightclub shows of 2013 by Time Out New York, a 2013 MAC Award for Show of the Year and received the 2012 Bistro Award for “Comedy Artistry.”

Mr. Smith has been a regular musical guest at The Meeting since his first appearance in 2012, celebrating Marlene Dietrich alongside Nellie McKay, Danielle Grabinowski and Cole Escola.
