We are very excited to present this special midnight edition of Morphium Kabarett at Joe's Pub at The Public, March 2, which will be recorded as my first EVER live album!
Conjuring the glitter, doom, and decadence of 1920's Berlin, Morphium Kabarett is musically directed by Tracy Stark, (“Superb, virtuosic pianist” - New York Post), and features the classic cabaret canon of Hollaender, Weill, and Spoliansky, mixed with Kylie Minogue, the Supremes, and myriad unexpected others, in a neo-Weimar cabaret fantasia.
I'm so excited to make a permanent record of Morphium Kabarett, which will feature mine and Tracy's versions of "Pirate Jenny," "Song of Black Max," "Dracula's Tango," and our New York Times-celebrated rendition of "Illusions," among many others, and to salute my supportive and fabulous New York City audiences with this live recording!
Head on over to www.publictheater.org to snap your tickets up, and we'll see you at Joe's Pub in March!
