Kim David Smith hosts
Hallo-Wien 2025
at the Neue Galerie!
The spookiest costume party on the Upper East Side – Neue Galerie New York's fifth annual Hallo-Wien – will take place this year on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 8 p.m. inside the museum's historic mansion at 1048 Fifth Avenue. Hallo-Wien is a fundraiser for the museum, hosted by the Junior Council, a dynamic and diverse group of individuals between the ages of approximately 21 and 40, committed to supporting the Neue Galerie’s mission.
Cabaret legend Kim David Smith will cast his spell with an exclusive performance for guests, which offers a dynamic taste of the museum's celebrated Cabaret at Café Sabarsky performance series. Drinks and canapés will be served by Café Sabarsky, and the entire museum will be open for private viewing, including this season's new special exhibitions “Erich Heckel” and “Dagobert Peche: Ornamental Genius.” The evening concludes with the infamous costume competition; traditionally, guests have arrived dressed to impress in inventive costumes that nod to the artwork in the Neue Galerie's collection.
